The minimalism of the original is both what makes it so great and so remixable, because there was much unexplored ground to cover. I think the challenge for anyone producing Progressive House at the moment is figuring out ways to keep the energy of the genre alive while bringing in new sounds and more organic elements than the same old tired synths. Much like I did on my Viceroy "The Life" Remix, I went for a strong piano riff reminiscent of 90s house but with an updated sound and the kind of mixing you'd expect from a proper prog
